3D current position image, while map in 2D mode for zoom level between 12 and 13

If the map is in 3D mode and zoom level goes below 13 the map switches to 2D mode, which is fine.
However the current position indicator image only switches to the 2D one below level 12. Also it's abnormally big. See screenshot. (my custom icon has the same dimensions and transparent space around it as the default one. I changed it in the bundle).

This issue seems to have been resolved. Did not get any feedback on it anymore.
