    Ausrufezeichen Navigation routes through gates?

    Does the navigation app respect gates and other barriers? Here is a bug that complains about (apparent routing through) a road that's gated: http://www.mapdust.com/detail/104878 The gate is there in OSM and it was mapped prior to the bug report. The gate is mapped as follows:

    barrier=gate
    access=private

    Does the navigation app ignore barrier and access tags, or can this gate be mapped better?

    As far as I can think, there are three types of gates.

    1. Gate that the driver can open himself. Should be okay to navigate through and is probably not necessary to map. But if mapped, the app should give a voice prompt.

    2. The gate that can be opened by a guard or keycode. Should be okay to navigate through. Should be mapped. The app should give a voice prompt.

    3. The gates that can not be opened under normal circumstance, such as the one mentioned in the bug report. Should not navigate through. Should be mapped. How should we tag those to help the navigation app make the right decision?

    Here's OSM wiki on gates: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:barrier%3Dgate

    Here's OSM wiki on barriers: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:barrier

    They have tags barrier=block and barrier=bollard that are normally considered impenetrable. Does the app respect those?

    Yet another option is to tag

    barrier=gate
    access=no

    Would this have worked for the app? I am going to change the access tag and see of this helps, but I will also wait to hear from the developers on this issue.

    Thanks!

    Can somebody test this with the new version?
    the old version was routing through all barriers! no matter what kind of.

    A disaster in routing that is hopefully fixed in the new skobbler 2.
