View Full Version : reverseGeocodeLocation crashes

14.04.2016, 22:10
Sometimes the calling line of code crashes:

let searchObject: SKSearchResult = SKReverseGeocoderService.sharedInstance().reverseG eocodeLocation(coordinate)

The error in the console is
fatal error: unexpectedly found nil while unwrapping an Optional value

Our app allows the user to long press to drop a pin on the map. When we attempt to reverse geocode the point where the user long presses, the above call crashes. It seems to crash when I tap far away from the maps I have downloaded. For example, I have some U.S. states downloaded for offline use, The call works when reverse geocoding in areas covered by the downloaded maps, and in some areas not covered. As I move away from the downloaded maps, crashes occur. This crashes happen both online and offline.

I'm using the latest swift version 2.5.1 posted on the forum (https://www.dropbox.com/sh/f3i4zddqt9z9ilb/AACzFRySVw-b4-4pjXL1Q2T5a?dl=0)

Has anyone seen this?

iOS 9.3

We're also seeing this at times even when looking up locations within the downloaded map.
